Flying to Shetland
There are two main routes when travelling to Shetland by air through FlyBe, with flights arriving at Sumburgh airport which is approximately a 40 minute drive from Lerwick and is serviced by an airport bus service. Shetland by sea
An alternative popular routes is travel by Northlink ferry which will allow visitor to bring their own transport. The overnight crossing departs Aberdeen harbour in the early evening, arriving the following morning. A cabin is advisable with some including wi-fi and satellite tv channels, furthermore there is a small gift shop, cinema, cafeteria and bar on board the ship.
